ALDI’s Seasonal Petit Coconut Wine is Flying of the Shelves

Summers without a sip of wine or beer feel meaningless to us. Lately, people have become more interested in drinking wine due to its lower health risks and better taste. Well, the best news is that Aldi’s famous seasonal item, the Petit Coconut Wine Specialty is back in your nearest Aldi stores.

Many Aldi fans, including me, discovered this booze when it first came out in June 2020. We instantly realized the texture was smooth and creamy, like a Piña Colada. 

I have also tasted other Petit flavors like Margarita, Chocolate or Pineapple wine, but the coconut one wins my heart. It tastes like a proper tropical fruit wine and has the best potential to be your next favorite summer drink.

Aldi’s Petit Coconut Wine 

Petit Coconut Wine is back in your nearest Aldi as a seasonal item. It costs $7.99 in my local Aldi store, and this is the standard price of this wine in many stores across the United States.

This creamy wine comes in a 750 ml bottle with an alcohol content of 13.9%. The packaging says it has a blend of white wine with rich coconut flavor and premium thick cream.

Aldi claims that the Petit Coconut Wine Specialty is originally from the Netherlands. Many Aldi Fans call it a “glass of dessert” because the creamy coconut-flavored wine tastes more like a smoothie than a wine. 

It is super refreshing to enjoy it on a hot summer day. It instantly cools down my body and helps me relax after a hard day at work. I add pineapple juice and ice and then mix it to create the tastiest smoothie. 

The Petit Coconut Wine easily blends with other drinks or juices. You can also make homemade Pina Coladas with this wine. The recipe is easy: Mix 2 parts of Petit Coconut Wine, 2 parts of Pineapple juice, and 1 part of white rum. Garnish it with cherries or pineapple slices, and enjoy!

It is a seasonal item that arrives every year by the start or end of June. However, this time, it was already available by mid-May in my nearest Aldi. It stays for a few weeks, and the period differs in every Aldi store. 

Alternatives to Aldi’s Coconut Wine 

Finding an exact dupe of this viral drink was difficult. However, I found some suitable alternatives that you can consider checking out.

Here’s the Villa Jolanda Moscato & Coconut. It is an Italian sparkling wine with an alcohol content of 6.5%. It has a crispy, refreshing coconut taste that is not overly sweet.

Secondly, you can try Tradewinds Coconut Wine. It is made from natural coconut water and has a 12.5% alcohol content. 

Other options include the Wilson Creek Coconut Nui or the Fun Wine Coconut Chardonnay. Both are exotic coconut-flavored fruit wines.

Is it a Good Deal? 

The Petit Coconut Wine is a bargain at just $7.99. I bet you will find this gem only in Aldi. It is one of the most delicious and affordable fruit wines for surviving (and eventually enjoying) the warm American summers.
